Cross Country Skiing

Discover the most beautiful spots in the Gastein Valley! With over 45 kilometers of tracks and excellently prepared trails, Gastein is a paradise for cross country skiers. In Sportgastein it's possible to enjoy cross country skiing right up until the spring with a snow sure high altitude trail at 1600 meters above sea level. In the evenings you can use the wonderful flood lit trails in Bad Gastein-Böckstein or at the Kurpark in Bad Hofgastein for yet another round of sport.

Biathlon

The newly built biathlon stand is professionally run by the Gastein Cross-Country School and is located directly next to the XC trail in Böckstein. No prior experience is necessary if you wish to take advantage of the "Intro to Biathlon" and try it out for yourself including using non-dangerous laser competition rifles.

Snow Shoe Walking

Whose are those tracks in the snow? Guided tours are available right through the winter in the Gastein Valley and whilst walking in the midst of nature you might even be lucky enough to get a glimpse of the animals who have left these tracks in the glittering snow.

Over 100 km of excellently prepared winter walking paths invite you to discover the nature around Bad Gastein. This way you can experience the natural beauty of nature far away from the slopes and enjoy the peace and tranquility.

is guaranteed for the whole family. Even in the evenings on the toboggan run which is illuminated run right down into the valley.
