The Chalet Villa Orania was built as a holiday residence for the Dutch composer H. Zeger-Veeckens. The unique artistic design in the middle of the Bad Gastein Hotel Paläste, was, and still is, one of the top holiday destinations for Kings and Queens, Nobel Prize winners and the elite from economy and politics. The famous Italian building master Angelo Comini constructed the Villa Orania according to the drawings by the Swiss architect G. Mey from Interlaken.

In 2008, the 1000 m² large Villa was completely renovated and 8 luxury apartments were built. These belong to the most exclusive holiday domiciles in the midst of the Alps.
